Travelling with a little one
calls for a different map.
A trip abroad feels special, because you may not get to come back. So before we go, we plan everything. Where to go, what to eat, which views we want to see.
Travelling with a child is a little different. Grown-ups travel to see the landmarks; children are rarely impressed by them. Grown-ups follow the plan they made; children travel by how they feel that day.
When they are hungry, you eat. When they are sleepy, you rest. When they want to walk, you stop for a while. So a trip with a child leaves the plan behind more often than you would think.
And parents start noticing different things. The nearest toilet matters more than a beautiful building. Whether there is something your child will actually eat matters more than a famous restaurant. Whether a stroller fits through the door matters more than how pretty the café is.
That is why Hanora began.
We go to every place ourselves and only record what we have checked with our own eyes. For every family travelling with a child, Hanora keeps drawing that map.
